A Semi-New Look

Leah decided to have the last little bit of her hair cut off today so that it would be the same length all over her head.  I pulled out the scissors and a few short minutes later this is what we have:

The Storm that Never Was

So we had Mae's big party today and I think everyone had a really good time.  There are lots of pictures added to the Mae is 4! folder on the sidebar.  It blew up one nasty storm (they were calling for storms in the afternoon) but it went as fast as it came and we never had anything other than a few drops.  I guess the weathermen don't know everything.

Leah is off her steroids as of tonight!  Yeah!  Now we can get back to feeling good and having a peaceful 3 weeks.  

Long day.  I'm off to bed in Leah's bed (she's still sleeping with daddy).

Life on Steroids

So Leah is back on a 5 day pulse of steroids as of yesterday which will be standard every 30 day cycle.  Last month was a nightmare, but this month so far so good.  She is moody, irritable, easily upset, itchy, and in general doesn't feel good....BUT....today I have noticed that she has made a huge effort to keep herself in good spirits.  I in turn have tried to soothe her, giving her alone time when needed and even got us out of the house this morning.  Sometimes I think that lying around thinking about feeling bad makes you feel even worse and then you start the downward spiral toward self pity, wallowing and depression.  So today, so far, has been a blessed day and I am thankful for every moment of it.  My prayer is that we can continue this pattern through the evening and start it again in the morning.  2 days down....3 to go.

Leah

Leah had a really great day at clinic. Her counts were fairly good. We'll be continuing her meds at 100% for the next month and do labs in 1 week.  We don't go back to clinic until June 23rd!  That's all for now.  Dinner is cooking and the kids need to be given direction....

Clinic

Today is clinic day.  Seems like an eternity since we've been there....  I'll post an update on her later today.

That's My Boy

Isaac took the top off the diaper rash cream today and while squeezing it made nice splat marks all over the coffee table which splattered onto the floor, couch and daddy's recliner.

And.....He's Off

Aaron was playing quietly this morning with his toys while I made breakfast.  The next thing I know he gone.  So I go looking...he was in his bedroom playing.  Then he was down the hall to the girls room, then stopped to play with a doorstop, then breezing past the kitchen to the laundry room where he batted the door for awhile.  There's no stopping him now!

Nice Holiday Weekend

We had my brother Mark, his wife Ashley and their kids over today to cook out and eat.  It was great to all be together.  The weather was nice....the food was yummy.....the company was great.  All the cousins had a blast playing together and wore themselves out.  Leah was running and having a great time.  Good days....

Baptism

Snippets from Home

Aaron is crawling!  He crawls around saying MMMMMMAAA!  MMMMMMMAAA!  Too cute.  I guess I get to be a vacuuming freak now since he's picking things off the carpet and eating them.  It's a whole new world now.

Leah was up very late with daddy last night while I was out with the girls.  They sat up and watched The Princess Bride.  She's still in bed (it's 9:30).  

Here comes Aaron.

It's a beautiful sunny day so I guess we'll get outside to play today.  Chores first.

I just put creamer in my coffee and it clumped.  I hate it when that happens.  

Love the new grilled chicken from KFC.
